Project skyline—the history since auto day |

My first though is to run a new style semi auto box, after some deliberation I decide on a brabus 101 roadster Remapped, with major mods, its pushing out 138 bhp, handles like a dream and is rear engine rear wheel drive I find virtually all semi auto cars auto change up—a killer on track time
Pros—looks, sound, handling, roof Cons—build quality and reliability, stupid autochange gearbox, expensive and rare tuning |
Smart Brabus Roadster 101 |
Following some medical issues, I find myself unable to use a clutch– big track limitation |
Next I ran a massively modified Mitsubishi FTO GPX. The FTO is a gem of a car, beautiful, sounds lovely and has a great user community Sadly its underpowered in the mid range, I almost went for a gallant VR4 twin turbo conversion but more power through the front wheels wasn’t doing it for me
Pros—looks, sound, handling, reliability Cons—lack of power, aftermarket parts limited and expensive, FWD |
Mitsubishi FTO GPX Mivec |
And here we are The skyline is quick, has massive tuning potential to far exceed what I want to achieve A brilliant geometry, strong and simple mechanicals make this a dream car, once I found out there was a non auto changing tip I had to have one ;) |
Pros—power, tenability, build quality Cons—tbd, cost and frequency of servicing, size |
